Biopeople Innovative Ingredients
The Healthy Growth project is an active partner in the Biopeople Innovative Ingredients project. Innovative Ingredients is a two-year program that aims to secure Denmark’s position as a world class ingredient country by promoting knowledge-based and technology driven growth. Innovative Ingredients is funded by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (FI) and administered by Biopeople, which works in close collaboration with the partners: DHI, iNANO, Technological Institute and the Healthy Growth project.
Innovative Ingredients' keywords are collaboration, innovation, health claims, and technological and health aspects of ingredients. Many events are in the pipeline. Vouchers for smaller (pilot) projects will also be available for collaborative companies to apply for.
The project was kicked off June 6, 2011 with impressive participation from both academia and companies. Many ideas emerged, and the Ingrid project will try to incorporate as many as possible within its scope.
One contribution from the Healthy Growth project to Biopeople Innovative Ingredients is the Winter School 2011-2012, which will focus on functional ingredients for food and drinks. The Winter School is a series of seminars with high profiled speakers from academia and industry, and good possibilities for cross-disciplinary debate and networking.
