Research creates growth
Food products, energy and health are strongholds in Danish research and key areas for creating growth and jobs in Denmark. The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has announced that in 2011, the government will focus over half of its globalization funds on these areas. At the same time, basic research and university funding will be increased.
In 2011, 1.4 billion DKK in globalization funds will be granted. The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has announced that the government expects over 800 million DKK of these funds will go directly to research in areas that both create growth and support important societal priorities - namely food, energy and health.
