Charging the battery¶

Manual procedure¶

To charge the battery:

Step	Action
	If you have to move Pepper while off, place a hand on its hip and another on its shoulder and push with extreme caution.
	Plug the charger to the mains.
	Lift the power hatch. Warning: note that for safety reasons, as soon as the power hatch is opened, Pepper cannot move around.
	Plug the charger cable: put the plug into the socket and turn gently clockwise until the check valve snaps.
	Check the charger’s LED to have an indication about charge status. For further details about the meaning of LED colors, see the paper documentation delivered with the charger, or the summary printed on the charger.
	When the battery is charged enough, disconnect the charger cable from Pepper‘s back, then disconnect the charger from the mains.
	Make sure you close the power hatch, or Pepper will not be able to move around.

Notifications warn you that the battery needs to be recharged.

If you have a Charging station, Pepper is able to find it and to go on it when necessary.

Make sure the Home localization has been done.

Warning: do not push Pepper yourself on the Charging station, or proceed with extreme caution.
