Network for experience economy in primary production
Creating marketing, experiences, and added value
Experience economy is based on selling experiences either directly or indirectly associated with the sale of a product or service. Farm shops and experience-oriented agriculture will work together in a new network project to develop the fourth generation's experience economy related to primary production.
Øresund Food and the consultancy Viventes are initiators of the project: "Network for experience economy in primary production - Creating marketing, experiences, and added value." The organisations will be responsible for knowledge input and development of new experience concepts.
The project, supported by the Danish Ministry for Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, will run over the next two years with a budget of 1.2 million DKK.
The project's goal is to professionalise smaller food producers in the use of experience economy to generate increased sales, added value, and earnings on the farm.
Goals
Specific aims of the project include:
- Using the experience economy as leverage to develop existing and new sales channels in primary production.
- Developing authentic experience concepts, with business potential, related to primary production, food, and farm shops.
