Event description

On October 8, 2010, Øresund Entrepreneurship in cooperation with KPH-pro ekthu js and Center for Social Entrepreneurship gathered Øresund regional actors within social innovation. Under the duration of one day, the participants were presented with the opportunity to participate in seminars, workshops and lectures that were initiated and produced by the partakers themselves.

The aim of the unconference was to establish, foster and strengthen cross-border collaborative networks among the actors within the field of social innovation. As such, the foremost aspiration was to direct attention on the issues at hand and the challenges presented by the participatory actors. But most importantly, how these actors can create a sustainable setting for themselves and related projects in the Øresund region.

The unconference was a part of the current Interreg-project named Social Innovation 2.0. The project adheres to setting social innovation on the regional agenda in the Øresund region as well as to fortify the resources already existing within the field. There is great significance and interest in the topic in both Denmark and Sweden, but more specifically in Skåne and Copenhagen. Despite the similarities present between the national spheres, there is an evident difference as to how we approach social innovation and social entrepreneurship. As a result, the premises for a meaningful exchange of information are vast.
