Transnational Entrepreneurship
Inclusion and Retention of Entrepreneurial Talents in the Øresund Region
The project Transnational Entrepreneurship(TE), led by Øresund Entrepreneurship, aims to further develop the opportunities for transnational entrepreneurship in the Øresund Region with focus on international students and researchers.
The Øresund Region faces a challenge in including and retaining talents in the region. The focus needs to be balanced between attraction and retention. What is done or can be done to make it attractive, easy, secure, relevant, and a matter of course for international students and researchers to come, stay and start their own company? And what can be done to coordinate efforts in order to benefit from synergy effects and an enhanced brand of the Øresund Region?
What is transnational entrepreneurship?
Transnational entrepreneurs are individuals that migrate from one country to another, concurrently maintaining business-related linkages with their countries of origin and currently adopted countries and communities. By travelling both physically and virtually, transnational entrepreneurs engage simultaneously in two or more socially embedded environments, allowing them to maintain critical global relations that enhance their ability to creatively and efficiently maximize their resource base.
