Automatic reading of invoices and forms

Producing a census is not an easy job. The first step, collecting information, is a huge task that is only comparable to the second one: entering all data into a system able to produce tables and graphs that will draw the profile of a population.

ReadSoft - formsFaced by the mission of counting a population of 131 million Bangladeshis, the Statistical Bureau of Bangladesh decided to use ReadSoft software to reduce the costs involved by manually keying data from multi-page questionnaires.

Headquartered in Helsingborg, ReadSoft creates software that automatically extracts information from email, fax, web or paper and transports this information into any computer system. Besides Bangladesh, Georgia, Slovenia and the Ukraine have employed ReadSoft’s software for automatic processing of statistical information.

The company’s business is based on two products – one dedicated to extracting information from forms and the other from invoices. Eye and Hands Invoices software gathers invoices, finds the correct information from them, and puts it into the company’s business system. Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Porsche, Audi, Bank of England, Adidas and Ikea are some of Eye and Hands Invoices users.
