The Femern fixed link could make the region a logistics center

Stakeholders from companies, authorities and educational institutions gathered for a meeting at Region Zealand's the Regionshuset to discuss how to secure the new possibilities the Femern fixed link will prompt, thereby offering an oppotunity for the region to become the new centre for transport, logistics and distribution.

It is the Femern Belt Logistics Platform, who has initiated the possibility of creating better framework conditions for the logistics sector in Region Zealand, thereby being able exploit the opportunities the Femern fixed link offer to the fullest.

With its placement between Hamburg and the Øresund Region the region of Zealand has a strong geographical potential as an international logistics nerve centre.
