Skype founders behind new venture billion

Danish Janus Friis and Swedish Niklas Zennström, the two young developers of Skype, have founded a new venture fund to support European based tech companies.
Atomico Venture is the name of the new fund to discover initiatives with resemblance to their, previously, very own Skype.
"We are looking for companies, which are consumer-oriented and, which do not have a need to establish sales channels worldwide. Companies such as Skype, Google, Facebook, which, with a proven business model allows a great turnover without having to conduct to many financing rounds." So called "transformative" companies as Niklas Zennström puts it.
With a staggering sum of DKK 906 million it should be more than plausible to discover and send european transformative and technology focussed companies well on their way.
Niklas Zennström characterizes the process of finding these typical SME's with a dedicated management as a process requiring an "open mind" and a "surgical" approach rather than a search for solid established software developers. Hopefully, something the two specialists would know a thing or two about.

Skype and Facebook hardly have a "proven business model" and as such shouldn't be compared to the likes of Google at this point.
