When 10,000 people join together to work and party for 8 days high requirements for security, teamwork and working procedures is of great importance for the volunteers. In this context especially Information- and Communication Technology is a vital priority and this is exactly where Microsoft can play an essential role:

- Now we are supplied with IT tools, which not only ease the work for the many volunteers and employees at Roskilde Festival. The expanded IT infrastructure will also indirectly benefit the audience who will experience a very professional music festival on a high international level where the music is the center of focus, says spokesperson of the Roskilde Festival, Christina Bilde.

At Microsoft as well they are happy to contribute to one of the world's largest music festivals where all profit is donated to charity:

- We are pleased to get the opportunity to contribute to good music experiences and to support a good cause at the same time. Every year Roskilde Festival collects large sums to charity and humanitarian purposes. In the end we hope that our software contribution can help optimize the whole "festival mechanism" and strive to increase the amount of money that the festival donates to charity every year, says CEO of Microsoft Denmark, Jørgen Bardenfleth.
