Technical University of Denmark
The Technical University of Denmark (DTU, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet) is a modern elite university with 6560 students and a strong international profile. DTU is placed among the leading technical universities in Europe, attracting talented minds with new equipment and a strong research environment. With extensive research activities within the classical engineering disciplines and promising new research areas, DTU is upholding a high international level that continually emphasizes innovation, sustainability, utility for society, and relevance for business.
DTU offers engineering education within all technical-natural science areas – including Life Sciences – and relevant social sciences. There is great freedom of choice in the educations as they are built from flexible building blocks, making the student able to create an individual academic profile. Public sector consultancy is on equal footing with education and innovation as one of the core research based activities of DTU. Today one third of the around 4800 employees of DTU work on consulting the Danish ministries and government agencies as well as Danish and international organisations, collecting and analyzing data, making special diagnostic analyses and a range of functions related to environmental emergencies or domesticated animal diseases.
