Successful trip to Barcelona
Posted: February 25, 2011
After five days of busy program with networking, knowledge sharing and a visit to the Mobile World Congress, Øresund IT concludes that the Business Trip to Barcelona was again a great success.

Seven Swedish SMEs all working within the mobile technology industry were invited to join Øresund IT Business Trip without any expenses and further got help to prepare everything. The project is funded through the Leonardo da Vinci programme for life-long learning.
The SMEs all agree that the trip has been of great value. One of the companies that have experienced great interest from both manufactures and operators is Admedius.
- We have received positive feedback from large companies such as Vodafone and Sony Ericsson. They believe that our technology can solve a problem which no one has previously fixed, says Marc Klefter, CEO of Admedius.
The technology can ensure that the experience of streaming music and videos is the same high quality no matter where you are. At the moment the technology is unique on the market which is a huge advantages for the small company.
Besides Admedius, other participants were Raviteq, Malmö Yrkeshögskola, Combain, Nocturnal Vision, Anyfi and Preview. They all had matchmaking meetings organized by Øresund IT and Enterprise Europe Network – some with great well-known companies such as Sony, Orange, Alcatel and Samsung.
- The matchmaking program, facilitated by Øresund IT, was especially helpful and has led to several collaborations. We are now one step closer to our goal of enabling camera phones to see in the dark, says Benjamin Page, CEO of Nocturnal Vision AB and continues;
- It has also been great to get to know the people from our own region better and experience the fact that everyone shares contacts.
Øresund IT has great experiences of arranging a business trip in relation to a large event like the World Mobile Congress, because it puts the SMEs in a better position for matchmaking. Therefor; the next Øresund IT Business Trip is going to Paris in June, where the Futur en Seine media festival is taking place.
