World Expo: BrandIT in Shanghai
Posted: October 14, 2010
BrandIT will be represented at the World Expo 2010 in the end of this month. The Swedish Pavilion has offered to bring focus to the regions ICT solutions and the stakeholders offering them. This forum is also a great opportunity to expose Cluster 55° to a great variety of international stakeholders.

During the week a number of events and meetings will take place. One of the topics on the agenda is Two Countries – One Region, which will put emphasis on cross-boarder collaborations within the Øresund Region. This unique collaboration will be elaborated through presentations, which contains a political as well as a business viewpoint.

During the event all VIP’s can sign up to receive a free drink by summiting their fingerprints to a system created by Cluster 55° stakeholder, Precise Biometrics. At the end of the day a refreshing drink can be consumed at the top of the Swedish pavilion in the Absolute Bar where the Precise Biometrics’ system can recognize the fingerprints. Being at the bar is also a great networking opportunity for all the participants.
In relation to spreading the word about the Øresund Region’s positions of strength, World Expo is also a good platform to tell the story about Cluster 55° .
- Being present at the Expo and leading the focus to ICT is especially important to us, because we are right now working to spread the message about how great and attractive we actually are in the Øresund Region, says Karina Kolter, Communications Manager of the BrandIT project, led by Øresund IT. She continues,
- Strategically it makes sense to meet colleagues from other ICT clusters in the world as well as possible investors and employees and tell them about the options and competencies of the ICT cluster in the Øresund Region. That is why we will be bringing stakeholders to the Expo; because they really have some great, fun and interesting things to show and say.
Cluster 55° will be represented at the World Expo in Shanghai, October 20-26, 2010. Please contact Network Manager Philip Stankovski or Communications Manager Karina Kolter if you wish further information about our activities during the Expo.
