The Danish Digitalization Awards

A few days ago the best new digital initiatives within the Danish public sector was revealed.
Rudersdal Municipality, SKAT (Danish tax authorities) and the Danish Agency of Governmental Management were wednesday night presented with the digitalization awards as a result of their work with digital initiatives.
The consultancy group, Ramboll Management Consulting, has carried out the screening of all applicants and has drawn up the guidelines for the judges' evaluation criteria.
"The constitution of the applicants indicate that this year's competition is characterized by either very large and substantial projects or smaller and very well defined projects with a clear focus. Standardization, optimization and/or recycling of data are common topics at the moment", says Morten Hartmann, Manager at Rambøll, through a press release.
Rudersdal Municipality received the Citizen prize 2010 as reward for their MobilRude solution, which enables citizens and employees of the municipality to access public information via their mobilphones.
SKAT received the Company prize 2010 for their e-income project while the Danish Agency of Governmental Management took the Special prize 2010 for their RejsUd (Travel out) solution, which digitalizes and optimizes the working procedures concerning travel accounts throughout all governmental institutions.
The awards were presented by KMD, Ramboll Management Consulting and Hewlett Packard in collaboration with the National IT and Telecom Agency, The Digital Taskforce (Ministry of Finance), KL and the Danish Regions.
