TAT could prepare for initial public offering

Despite the telecom industry crisis, Øresund IT member TAT in Malmö increased their turnover by 35% last year. The result also reflects a SEK 2 mill. loss turned into a more than SEK 10 mil. revenue and TAT could now prepare for IPO.

TAT is a specialist in cool designs and advanced technical effects in cell phones. The demand for these solutions has increased a lot lately, especially since Apple launched their iPhone which meant that all mobile providers wanted to design and launch new models with improved menu design and more striking functionalities. The development also means that more consumer electronics today work with touch-screen technology.

This means that TAT's primary market has exploded, and their client portfolio today counts mastodons as Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Volvo trucks. Every 10 phone released in the third quarter of 2009 contained TAT technology, and CEO of TAT, Charlotta Falvin says that more than 350 mil. phones containing the company's technology have been sold.

- It is fun to grow and be profitable at the same time. Our budget for this year also predicts a positive revenue, Charlotta Falvin says.

According to sources at Sydsvenskan, TAT can be listed on the Stockholm Small Cap list already this year. Thereby TAT can break the low and quiet period at the Stockholm Stock Exchange that has not listed any new companies since the summer of 2008.

However, Charlotta Falvin is still secretive and does not wish to commentate on the IPO plans.

- It would be a natural next step, but is indeed a question of company ownership. Since I started at TAT in 2006 we have had the common goal of an IPO within 18-24 months, but the right time has continuously been pushed further ahead, she says.
