Tactel has been working as a consultancy since the late 90's but now the troubled market has forced the company to become a production company instead.
Lund-based Tactel has for more than a decade been a consultancy developing and delivering services on a contract basis where they have been a large contractor to Sony Ericsson amongst others.
Only a few months back Tactel announced that the company were forced to dismiss 50 of their 80 employees in Lund due to Sony Ericsson having to let a large amount of their own consultants go.
Now, however, the company is announcing a changed focus where the initiative is taking off in the company's own product portfolio, which so far has only been a side-activity.
This means that Tactel intends to enter the market to develop and sell products that synchronizes online services for mobile phones.
Tactel will especially focus on development for Android phones where the company estimates that large customers are probable within the nearest future.
