With a result of SEK 95 million before taxes Swedish Axis has doubled their first quarter outcome of 2010 compared to 2009.
The Lund based company who is specialized within video surveillance started to produce impressive results in the fourth quarter of 2009. However, the full potential of the company was not unveiled before the recent first quarter of 2010 where Axis exceeded the expectations of the analysts with SEK 14 million.
It is only a short while ago since we could elaborate on Axis great success. The reason being the company's recent entry into the market of thermal cameras. Axis identified a need for thermal cameras and with only few modifications to their existing technology they could reutilize software and optics to launch a new series of products within thermal surveillance.
That would prove to be a good idea since the company started to receive a large number of orders of thermal cameras within a short period of time. Undoubtedly this have contributed well to the recent impressive result.
This means that Axis expects a need to employ around 120-130 people in addition to their existing 786 employees.
