Focus on international students

Cultural and language challenges were on the agenda in early November when international students were invited to an event at Lunds Tekniska Högskola. Among the speakers was Philip Stankovski, network manager of Øresund IT.
The idea behind the event is to make the international students aware of the possibilities the Øresund Region offers.
- It is important to focus on making the region an attractive place to live for the international students so they will stay here after they graduate. We know we will need their qualified work in the coming years, says Philip Stankovski.
Philip Stankovski from Øresund IT presented the 175 attending students to the opportunities that the ICT industry in the Øresund Region holds in terms of jobs and research. Apart from that, two employees from India and Mexico working respectively for ST Ericsson and Tetra Park gave their personal stories about how it is working in the Øresund Region as a foreigner.
The event ended with an active session of questions and answers where the international students had the chance to clarify what they had in mind.
