Danish Swedish Conference appoints this century's leadership
Posted: October 19, 2010
What is the most successful example of leadership in Sweden and what can the Swedes and Danes learn from each other? These are the issues the Öresund Committee, Industry of Southern Sweden, the Chamber of Commerce and the think tank Monday Morning in November will discuss when they gather 300 managers to talk leadership in November.

Last year Monday Morning in collaboration with researchers picked out the best Danish examples of leadership in business since World War II. Some of those appointed were Carlsberg, the City of Skanderborg and Roskilde Festival.
- We looked at new perspectives on cooperation, hierarchies, and other long-term strategies, says Asger Daugbjerg from Monday Morning.
Now it is Sweden's turn, and a number of leadership-researchers have been engaged in selecting the most successful Swedish examples.
- We will publish the examples on the conference and then discuss them across the strait. It will be very exciting to see if there is any difference in leadership in Sweden and Denmark. For instance, the historic Swedish cooperation between big business and government, such as Ericsson and Telecom Agency or Saab and the Swedish Defense, cannot be found in Denmark, says Asger Daugbjerg.
He expects the majority of the participants to be Swedes since the focus of this year’s event is Swedish leadership.
