IT investment will increase by 5.7 percent with a value of 1.6 trillion U.S. dollars next year. According to IDC, investment in IT will accelerate worldwide next year which is a result of a great upswing in clouds, mobile networks and social media.
- In the next few years the new and revolutionary technologies will be integrated with each other, for example clouds with mobile phones, mobile phones with social networks and social networks with data analysis, says IDC analyst Frank Gens to IDG News.
The result is that these technologies cannot be handled individually without considering how the fusion affects the marked.
- All previous assumptions about who is leading the industry and how companies establish and maintain leadership change, says Frank Gens.
IDC predicts that hardware will grow fastest with 7.8 percent while software grows 5.3 percent, services 3.5 percent and outsourcing 4 percent.
