This is where high-level mobile development happens
Today approx. 8,000 people are employed within mobile development in the Øresund Region. The region is a center for mobile and wireless communication in Sweden, and a large part of the development happens within the initiative of Mobile Heights.
Head of Mobile Heights, Lars Tilly says that the concept is to strengthen a collaboration between the mobile industry and business, academia and governmental institutions. Lars Tilly is also research- and branch manager at Ericsson in Lund, and he has great hope for this cluster.
- A creative business- and educational envrionment should make the region the obvious place to be for those who want to work with mobile solutions, says Lars Tilly.
Frode Thorsén is on the board of Mobile Heights, and he thinks the cluster is unique because it spans the entire business area from programming to content. He hopes for a significant idea flow between the three research parties.
Furthermore, Mobile Heights also work on influencing more young people to choose the technical educations in the Øresund Region as well as to strengthen the quality of the educations offered.
