The IT sector has for some years been screaming for labour it seems now that the help is on it s way! The IT University of Copenhagen is in these days experiencing an increase in the numbers of applicants to the IT study programs. There is a need for well educated and skilful IT people but they have been difficult to find, now there seems to be a greater interest in IT. In a few years the IT industry will probably experience a lot more qualified applicants to the available positions within the industry.

50% more want to have an IT degree this year. The IT University of Copenhagen is experiencing great interest in the candidate and masters courses. Many have been aware of the value of IT skills in an uncertain time, says the head of education. IT University of Copenhagen is experiencing dramatic growth in applicants to the candidate and masters courses. The increase is 52.9 percent of applicants this year which is181 people more than if compared to the last years results.

"It's apparently gone up too much that IT is a versatile subject that be about everything from design, software, to digital communication, management and business. Today it is clear that there is a need for IT skills in many industries - not just in the IT industry. And that applies regardless of whether there is a financial crisis or not, says Head of studio Trine Eltang.

IT graduates will continue to get jobs very fast
Graduates from the IT University will soon be in a job. Almost half of them are already in jobs before they finish their degree. It is stated in a new questionnaire survey that the University has carried out among graduates after the financial crisis broke out. Until August 15, it is possible to apply for masters and diploma courses with available seats.

There is a 1 application deadline for quota applicants for IT University's bachelor program, 5 July. kl. 12.00.
