Rambøll's new HQ should attract Swedish engineers

Next year the Danish consultancy company - the biggest of Northern Europe - Rambøll moves its head quarter to Ørestad. The management wants to take advantage of the new location and attract more employees from Skåne to the company.

Large orders on consultancy services within the project of building the Fehmarn Belt bridge and renovation project on the Danish railway signals, fosters the need for recruiting.
- There is a big difference in commuting from Skåne to our current head quarter in Virum north of Copenhagen compared to going to Ørestad. We have recruited engineers from Skåne before within specific business areas, but with our new location it will be easier. It increases our base of recruitment a great deal, says Håkan Löe, Marketing and Development Manager at Rambøll.

The new head quarter will house 1,300 employees. It is 40,000 square meters of which Rambøll will have 34,000 while the rest is rented by other companies. Håkan Löe has no estimate of how many people will be needed, but since 2004 the Rambøll concern has doubled its number of employees, and the past year the number has increased with more than 400 people. Rambøll is by the end of second quarter 2009 employing 8,760 people.

The location is in Ørestad South at Hannemanns Allé right across from the characteristic black building of Ferring. The new head quarter is hence close to the metro, regional trains and the high way. Despite this new location Rambøll will still keep its office in Malmö.
