Mondo: Flexible outsourcing model is popular

The Danish IT consultant company and member of Øresund IT, Mondo, experiences great interest for software outsourcing. This gives companies an flixible opportunity to outsource the entire or parts of the development departments.

”We are experiencing an increasing need for software outsourcing which is slightly different from the traditional consultancy market because it is an integrated work between the outsourcing partner and the client. This is definitely where we see the greatest interest from our clients”, says CEO of Mondo, Lars Nordenlund to Version2.

By outsourcing software the client can move a part of its development department abroad, but Mondo works as the intermediary partner taking care of the actual outsourcing.

“If a larger company has a need for software development within especially the Microsoft area, it is possible to outsource a part of the development team. We combine an onshore team of developers with us located in Pakistan and Ukraine, and in that sense we function as outsourcing for the client. The difference from previous solutions is that this is a completely integrated model working onshore and offshore”, says Lars Nordenlund. He thinks the increasing demand is due to the flexibility offered in this model, combined with the savings typically attached to outsourcing.

Besides software outsourcing, Mondo also sees and increasing need for CRM and web solutions especially as integrated solutions.
