Malmö gaming company goes public

The Swedish gaming company Junebud located at the Malmö incubator office Minc, will go public by the end of October this year. Prior to the listing Junebud has an IPO of SEK 2.9 mill. (approx. € 286,000) to finance the launch of the online game Million Morning in primo 2010.

Million Morning is a social online game, founded in a virtual world in line with Second Life, but easier accessible and targeted towards 12-18 years olds. The actual game will be free of charge, but users can purchase upgrades to their gaming characters.
- We address children and young people who account a large group of today's internet users. The game will also include functionalities of i.e. voting, polls and smaller competitions and game closely related to the users, says Ola Holmdahl, CEO of Junebud.

Post-launch the company expects 60,000 registered users the first quarter and hence a positive cash-flow. The goal is 400,000 users after the first year.

Junebud was founded a year ago under the name Junebug. Today the company has nine full-time employees in Malmö.
