Mads Tofe continues as vice-chancellor of the IT University

A unanimous board has decided for Mads Tofte to continue as top director of the IT Universtiy (ITU) the next five years. He wants to focus on the globalization strategy that is already initiated at ITU.

Mads Tofte is delighted to be reelected, he says to Version2. According to Version2 there has been five candidates to the position as vice-chancellor, but the board has been so satisfied with Mads Tofte's contribution for the past ten years that a substitution for the position was not considered.

- Mads Tofte has played a significant part in bringing ITU to where we are today; main supplier of the very wanted Msc.IT candidates, says Chairman Morgens Munk-Rasmussen in a press release about the election.

Mads Tofte emphasizes that during the next five years ITU will focus on finishing the globalization strategy he already initiated:

- It is an ongoing process. Local activities are being outsourced to both Western and Eastern countries where we already have several connections in the US and at Peking University in Beijing, he says.
