IT entrepreneurs are not concerned with the crisis

Although a large part of business world is concerned with the crises, many IT entrepreneurs keep their spirit – and the economy – going.

This is shown by a recent survey among 40 IT companies associated with the IT growth house 5te, 5teUnit and Symbion Science Park. The companies within the IT sector seems to keep up their spirit and with the economy.

The survey shows that very few entrepreneurial companies within the ICT sector experience that they are being affected by the financial crisis. Especialy compared to the rest of the business world. The survey is conducted by the Danish Ministry of Science and shows that companies who could not get credit the last six months (due to the trouble within the banking sector ) now has been able to get a renewed credit agreement. However the ICT companies who are financed through venture capital are according to the survey are still under pressure.

The study shows a sector where, despite of being under pressure, only half of the ICT companies seem to be affected by the crisis - which is a positive development.

“As the survey provides a picture of an industry that is used to deal with high risks and has been ready to deal with change. The industry is also strengthened by the fact that it will continue to provide solutions for other companies who are interested in coming out of the crisis quickly. ICT is believed to be the medicine for the financial crisis” states the Danish Minister of Science, Helge Sander.
