Ideon company attracts 7 Msek in venture capital for holographic microscope
The Innovative Ideon Company Phase Holographic takes in another 7 msek and makes it possible to launch a next generation microscope based on digital holographi – the HoloMonitor M3.
PHI develops and sells a whole new unique and patented microscope for three-dimensional realtime analyzis of living cells (live cell imaging). A whole new intstrument called the HoloMonitor M3 gives new possibilities in for instance the field of cell analysis, a market worth 1.1 billion Euro per year. With HoloMonitor living cells can be filmed without being destroyd, without toxic paint or chemicals. With the patent seeked method using laser combined with picture analysis – called digital holographi – analysis can be made both faster and cheaper than today. The technique also makes it possible to see new thing och processes that you can’t see with the microscopes that are on the market today.
