Galileo Masters in Munich 21st and 22nd of October

On October 21st the winner of the Galileo Master 2009 was awarded in Munich, Germany. Øresund IT attended the two-day event and award ceremony.

Øresund IT's participation ensured connection with stakeholders from this region and from the rest of Europe. The new project, BrandIT, of positioning the Øresund Region towards the external stakeholders was represented as well.

The event evaluated this year's competition as well as was part of the preparations for next year where the Øresund Region will nominate a candidate for the title of Galileo Master 2010. We hope that universities, companies and public authorities will support the initiative so that our region can present qualified contributions for the European Satellite Navigation Competition 2010.

The grand prize winner of the 2009 European Satellite Navigation Competition, Osmógrafo®, combines satellite positioning with wind measurement and rescue dogs' sense of smell in order to better determine which areas have already been covered by searching teams.
