Axis recruits in crisis
"Everything that we do to increase the interest of science education is really important." says Malin Ruijsenaar, Chief Personnel Officer at Axis to Sydsvenskan.
Even though we are in the middle of a financial crisis the Øresund IT member Axis keeps recruiting and grew with 150 employees last year.
"We have stable ownership and can work long term. This means that we do not suffer as much of this crisis as others. It also has to do with the industry, network video surveillance is a growth industry," says Malin Ruijsenaars.
But she also points out that in the long run the biggest issue is the lack of good engineers. Getting more people to choose engineering is critical for the region if it is to keep it's position as a technical cluster.
