Center for Immune Regulation in the Øresund region
The Øresund region contains a vibrant community of industrial enterprises that focus on aspects of immune regulation and inflammation. In addition there are several strong academic groups working in the immunology sciences at the regional universities (Lund, Malmö, Copenhagen).
In order to access the regions full potential within the immunological sciences, and to meet the increasing need for trained immunologists in the regions industries, there is a push for structured cross-boundary coordinated actions to strengthen basic and applied immunology. This project proposes that a Joint Center for Immune Regulation will be set up within the Öresund region.
