What to prepare before coming to the lab
There are many things that we have to get through in this lab. So to get the most out of the two hours of
lab time where you can get help, you have to show up prepared.
- Verify that Git is installed on your laptop:
- run 'git -v' or 'git --version' in the terminal
- if it works, Git is installed
- if not, you get get help on how to install Git here
- Create a folder for the lab experiments (you could call it 'SCMLab')
- Download the zip-file with the lab setup to the folder you just created - and unzip it
- Verify that things look like in figure 1 and figure 3 in the lab instructions
- Browse very quickly through the lab instructions - and read Chapters 1 and 2 - so you have an idea of what will come
- You are now prepared and ready to work!
