This course gives you 5 ECTS credits (or three Swedish credits), which
means that you will have to put in a total of about three weeks' of
full-time study.
Before the course week in Lund, we expect all participants to spend
about one week's work in preparing for the course. This means that you
should read the course material that is sent to you. Each participant
will be assigned one paper that has to be studied in detail and for
which you will have to prepare a short (15 minutes) presentation.
Finally each participant will have to write a short essay (1 page) about
a topic in Software Configuration Management that he or she finds interesting
and would like to do an in-depth study of during and after the course. This
short essay must be mailed to the lecturer before May 21st.
During the course week each day will consist of three hours of lecture,
two hours of group exercises and two hours of computer labs. Being well
prepared when you arrive for the course, we only expect you to put in 1-2
hours each day in preparing for the next day's course. Thus you put in a
full week of work during the course week.
After the course week all participants will have to carry out
a small in-depth study on a topic of interest from Software Configuration
Management. This study will be carried out in small groups of three
people and a written report has to be mailed to the lecturer no later than
June 20th. Groups will be formed and work started during the course week.
We expect each participant to spend about one week of full-time work on
this in-depth study.
