Lab exercises week 3:
- Time: Friday 9/11, 8.15-10.00 or 10.15-12.00 (depending on which group you are in).
- Place: Computer lab "Hacke" in the basement of the E-building.
- Note: if you have already finished the CVS lab, you may want to look into
Subversion and compare it with your experience from CVS. What is similar,
what is different?
This week we explore the support CVS gives for parallel development. We try out
the different possibilities for parallel development and how CVS handles them.
In particular we will investigate how merges are done and how to resolve merge
conflicts. As the climax of this lab we will do a release that will be used in
the next lab.
Next week we will continue to explore CVS and its possibilities
for supporting both the team and the individual developer.
