Beauty in Darkness - a Poetry Page

I linger...

I linger in twilight since you left
and listen to a world of silence,
lost in the cold and endless depth
of myself, a world of decadence.

Moments as days, hours as years
of staring into nothing pass me by,
visions, summons, and dark fears,
a world of memories wishing to die.

You locked my hopes inside me
hungry as worms devouring corpses
and, secretly, threw away the only key
along with a world of promises.

Now I have to rot and decompose
in a world of hate and scorn...
until one day, to feed another rose
in this world of worlds I'll be reborn.

Mix 2 parts Soul, 1 part Form

content over form, they say
the rhyme doesn't make the dime,
loose thoughts are not a crime
as long as you obey
your soul

and if you look in any heart
thousands of feelings twist and curl,
love and pain as waves they hurl
out in the world, they dart
your soul

thus, the content stays the same
and all you do is howl
as any living soul
if you don't try to tame
the form

On a Tombstone

Every time you come to me
I feel alive.
As soon as you arrive,
I smile where you can not see...

But then I taste your sorrow,
I eat your growing pain
Burst out in tears of rain
That feeds my open marrow.

With every soothing touch,
With every breath,
I share with you the cold of death,
My stillness that you hate so much.

And then your weeping stops...
Your heart, naked as a bone,
Drags me back under that stone
Without desires, without hopes.

You kill me yet again,
Walking away, forgetting all:
My everlasting love, my skull,
The stone, and the pooring rain.

Dark Tribe Chant

Our eyes bleed darkness
Our whispers bring silence
Our shapes feed the shadows
Our touch turns to violence...
Out of your sight we live
In forgotten hours we appear
Your wiseness to thieve...

We speak when you cannot hear
We watch you cry,
We haunt your sleep,
In the corner of your eye
We hide and weep...

Crawling in the dark,
Laughing at your soul,
Drawning in your heart
Like snakes in a bowl.

We kill your hopes
We make you sear
WE are your Ghosts!
We are your FEAR!

Deceased Love

Is this the face I held so dear?
The voice that used to sothe my ear?
I have forgotten or maybe never knew
That I'm in love with... who?
Those lips I thought so sweet
Taste salty as a piece of meat,
That look I felt so warm
Is colder than an icestorm,
Those clumsy moves now slap my face
Eradicating every trace of grace.
Was I enthralled by this witch?
My heart stops with a twitch
It can't be real, it wasn't me
So blind no love can be...

the undead

blend with the shadows of the night,
the living world keep in thy sight,
breath silence and move like the dust
born from a tombstone of the past...

...no mercy in thy icy heart
for the lost prey you stalk and hunt,
only the lust to take his life
and make his Death thy lovely wife.

let patience freeze your tired blood
and wait,... for in the name of God,
you're not alive, and he'll soon die --
an answer to your hungry cry.
