Abstract:
Sustaining the knowledge society in a global economy requires of new innovation systems enabling nations to rapidly and efficiently adapt to changes.
Software systems should be designed to fulfil functional and non-functional requirements of quality attributes. However, when software systems operate in changing environments, the complexity of managing the quality attributes becomes extremely high. Thus, software systems and their development process require some degree of adaptability so that they can adapt themselves to accommodate changes in environments such as resource variability, shifting user priorities, etc.
The presentation addresses software system's adaptability issues with focus on achieving software quality objectives, increasing customer satisfaction level, and facilitating product/service evolution.
