Datavetenskaps programmeringstävling is part of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), which is a world-wide contest for students with local and regional events, and a world final. The contest is about programming skills, problem solving and teamwork.
The ICPC is very large. Last year, nearly 22,000 students from more than 1,900 universities in 82 countries competed in the contests which lead up to the World Finals in Harbin, China, where 103 teams from all over the world competed. Three teams from our region made it all the way to the World Finals where the KTH team (coached by Roy Andersson from LTH) finished in 12th place!

In 2003 and 2004 the Department of Computer Science also hosted the Regional Contest:

The 2004 ACM Northwestern Europe Regional Programming Contest
