Team Sweden

Abstract

``Team Sweden'' is the Swedish national team competing in the Sony
legged robot league at RoboCup (international robot soccer
competition). Team Sweden is a cooperation between Orebro University,
Stockholm University, Lund University and the Blekinge Institute of
Technology.  This talk will introduce the challenges posed by RoboCup
from an autonomous robotics perspective, and describe the techniques
developed inside Team Sweden to address them.  Emphasis will be put on
those techniques which are most relevant to the AI tradition,
including the use of fuzzy logic to reason under uncertainty, and a
new electric field approach to real time decision making.
