Modern Planning Techniques

Abstract:

Since the mid-90s, there has been a steady imporovement in the
performance of planning systems. This development is mainly based on
better search control (heuristics and pruning). Based on a talk given
by Jörg Hoffmann at the 2003 Summer School on AI Planning, I will
present some of the techniques that modern planners use.
